Jan 12, 2025 - FASThe Klang Valley Derby between Selangor FC and Kuala Lumpur City (KLC) FC will take place at the MBPJ Stadium today at 5:15 pm.
This is the 90th meeting between the two Klang Valley teams. The Red Giants have won 53 matches and drawn 18. In addition, 89 goals have been scored in the meetings between these two teams. The last time they met KLC was in the first round of the Super League this season, with a 0-1 victory.
According to Katushito Kinoshi, Head Coach of Selangor FC, he will ensure that this Klang Valley Derby match is interesting to watch.
“This evening we will face a derby match, as many know, no matter in which country, every derby match is an interesting match to watch, and so is this evening’s game. Therefore, the players need to stay focused and I believe they will give their best to get three points this evening,” explained Kinoshi.
Regarding the player’s updates, Noor Al-Rawabdeh suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. Other than that, Nikola Jambor and Ali Olwan have been doing some activities with the team and are likely to be fielded along with the other players.
The Selangor FC management believes that the team will give their all for the Lembang Klang Derby match. Come on, Red Giants!
